Maps are a particularly handsome collision of information and art. They're rooted in the era they're made in, and at the same time they're timeless.
If you're into the whole scene, you can spend a lifetime studying them. If you're really crazy, maybe you'll make a couple. There is, after all, a satisfaction in getting good at things. As you get older you'll get better and better at making them.
And in all your years you will never make a map as good as this one.
The actually-award-winning Imus Geographics map was designed by Dave Imus. It features actual, meaningful details of geological features, highways and humanity.
They're all printed the same way on the same size paper. Some are folded and some are laminated.
When folded the map is 6-3/8" x 9".
Unfolded it is 50" x 35.3". Not surprisingly the laminated one is about 1" longer in each dimension because of the plastic overlay.
